Assistant Banqueting Manager


The main purpose of the role is to assist the Banqueting Manager with the daily running of the Banqueting department, whilst ensuring conferences run smoothly and providing a memorable experience to all guests.


Manage the day-to day duties associated with the Banqueting department
Attend and manage weekly functions meetings with the co- ordinators, F&B and Kitchen team
Monitor and manage departmental inventories and assets including par levels and maintenance of equipment
Assist with ordering of departmental supplies
Assist with monthly payroll
Assist with monthly stock takes
Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer needs are met
Manage the events and team members throughout service
Resolve staff and guest concerns quickly and efficiently
Assist and support the Operations Manager and Banqueting Managers to provide excellent guest service
Motivate and lead the Banqueting team
Perform any ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Banqueting Manager


Tertiary qualification is Hospitality Management
2 years’ experience in a managerial or senior role
Proficient in MS office package & Opera
Ability to work accurately under pressure
Guest and service driven
Excellent communication skills
