Century City Conference Centre Unveils A New Era of Sophistication and Exclusivity

Century City Conference Centre, renowned for its commitment to excellence in the conferencing and events industry, is excited to announce the completion of a significant R15 million investment that has seen a redesign and upgrade of its popular Business Lounge and other public spaces.

Century City Conference Centre has witnessed remarkable growth over the past few years despite global economic setbacks resulting from the pandemic. This increasing demand has necessitated many changes for the Centre, such as addition staffing and the addition of a new venue to accommodate increasing demand for event spaces.

Derived from the French word “verve,” Century City Conference Centre’s new bespoke venue, The Verve, embodies liveliness, enthusiasm, and style -infusing every event with energy and charm.

Spanning 500m2, the designer venue caters to discerning clientele seeking refined settings for meetings, gala events, and cocktail parties. The Verve stands as a beacon of elegance, offering an exclusive ambiance that ensures extraordinary gatherings – complete with its own pre-assembly area, which further enhances its functionality and appeal.

Gary Koetser, CEO of Century City Conference Centre and Hotels, expressed his excitement, stating, “The introduction of The Verve marks a significant milestone in our journey towards excellence. We recognized the need for a space that exudes sophistication and exclusivity, and The Verve embodies precisely that. The addition of this new venue also increases our capacity to be able to host up to 2 000 guests for future events.”

The Century City Conference Centre has spared no expense in taking the opportunity to redesign and enhance its public spaces. The iconic central catering lounge known as the Business Lounge now boasts dedicated working stations, private meeting booths, and intimate dining pockets; meticulously crafted to elevate the ambiance and facilitate productive guest meetings.

Furthermore, keeping up with global trends, state-of-the-art soundproof working pods and convenient C-type chargers have been added to the first floor of the Centre. A fresh juice bar has also been added to the food and beverage offering, as an additional health-conscious food and beverage option. The Centre’s dedication to innovation and quality has earned it the recognition as Cape Town’s leading conference centre, reaffirming its pursuit of excellence.

“The new upgrades and redesign of our public spaces reflect our commitment to providing guests with a seamless blend of functionality and comfort, ensuring an unparalleled experience during their time at the Century City Conference Centre.” elaborates Bernard Abrahams, Conference Centre Operations Manager.

The launch of Verve, alongside the refreshment of its public spaces, marks an exciting chapter in the Century City Conference Centre’s journey. As it remains dedicated to offering unparalleled experiences, the centre invites guests to discover the epitome of sophistication and exclusivity within its walls, representing the evolution of excellence in event hosting.
