The restaurant hostess is the first person to interact with arriving guests as they enter our Restaurant. The purpose of the role is to greet arriving guests, welcome them into the establishment and seat them. 


Welcome and seat all guests

Check the reservations book for any pre-booked guests and welcome them accordingly

Inform team members  of all special information necessary e.g. birthdays, anniversaries or any other special requests

Notify the Manager on Duty of any events/parties of more than 6 pax

Ensure that all reservations signs are placed on the tables

Have sound knowledge about any specials so that guests can be advised

Always be stationed at the entrance to welcome all guests

Answer the phone politely using a friendly tone and assist with any orders/queries

Be knowledgeable in order to advise on any item of the menu (product and price)

Assist the Restaurant Manager with daily administration


Min Grade 12

Excellent communication skills

Exceptional interpersonal skills

Minimum 1 year in a similar role

Computer knowledge
