Fadiel Hermans

Born in Cape Town’s Bo Kaap in 1971, Fadiel Hermans is a self-taught artist who captures the memories of his childhood in vibrant, narrative-driven works.

His art, created using acrylic and spray paint, blends street, pop, and graphic elements, often leaving room for personal interpretation. Despite having no formal training, Fadiel’s passion for art flourished after a brief stint in graphic design and printing. His career reached a significant milestone in 2023 when he was selected for a prestigious Diasec series, marking his growing influence in the art world.

Jaret Loggenberg

Born near Parys, South Africa, in 1994, Jaret Loggenberg discovered her love for art at age 10. Selling her first painting in 2010, she focused on figure art, with a particular interest in the female form.

Known for her bold stroke technique and use of oil as a medium, Jaret’s work reflects the warmth, emotions, and strength of women. She regularly attends workshops to refine her craft and is represented by The Traveling Art Gallery. Her work has been exhibited across South Africa and Europe, including collaborations at The Artists Gallery in 2023.

Justice Mathonsi

Justice Mathonsi, born in Soweto in 1987, moved to Ribugwani Village in Limpopo Province in 1990. He completed his education in visual art and printmaking at the Artist Proof Studio in Johannesburg in 2016.

His artistic vision is inspired by the people who influenced his life, particularly his family and community, with a strong focus on the values instilled by his grandparents. His work often features portraits of the elderly and young children, paying homage to significant figures in his life. Justice employs techniques like linocut, etching, charcoal, and painting to explore themes of time, age, tradition, and culture, while highlighting the often-unrecognized role of women in child-rearing. His art, rich with vibrant colours, honours his Tsonga heritage and is currently showcased at The Artists Gallery in Cape Town.

Moeketsi Moahloli

Born and raised in Soweto, Moeketsi Moahloli experienced life’s complexities from an early age, raised by a single mother. After studying Multimedia Design at the University of Johannesburg, he spent six years as a graphic designer before transitioning to fine art. Moeketsi’s mixed media works incorporate charcoals, pastels, newspaper collages, and acrylic paint, reflecting the diverse and dynamic culture of Soweto. His art, rich with social commentary, has been exhibited in numerous group shows in South Africa and Europe, and he is represented by The Artists Gallery in Cape Town.

Phillip Mabote

Phillip Mabote, born in Qwa-Qwa, Free State, in 1982, is a renowned printmaker specializing in linocut. He studied Professional Printmaking at the Artist Proof Studio from 2007 to 2009 and contributed to the Sonke Gender Justice Awareness Campaign. Phillip’s art explores identity and self-discovery, reflecting his belief in the transformative power of self-perception. His work has been showcased in numerous venues, including a solo exhibition at the Candice Berman Gallery. His piece “Journey in Pieces” is a notable reflection of his artistic vision, symbolizing the interplay of light, joy, and time. Phillip resides and works in Protea Glen, Soweto, Johannesburg.

Sarah Danes Jarrett

Born in the UK in 1964 and raised in Zimbabwe, Sarah Danes Jarrett studied commercial art at Harare Technikon before moving to South Africa in 1988 to pursue a design career. After becoming a mother in 1998, she transitioned to fine art, quickly gaining international recognition for her work. Known for her honest and simplistic style, Sarah’s portraits often focus on human faces, with vibrant colours contrasting with skin tones. Her bold brush strokes and controlled chaos make her work stand out. Sarah has exhibited her art worldwide, including at The Travelling Art Gallery and The Artists Gallery in Cape Town.

Carlista Cloete

Contemporary Dancer

Carlista Cloete, a dancer since the age of five, earned her South African colours in hip hop in 2011 and competed in the world championships in Australia. A graduate of The Waterfront Theatre College, she has performed in productions at Artscape, CTICC, and The Barnyard Theatre, and has recently worked as an IPL cheerleader in India, appearing in music videos and corporate gigs.

Chanté Hart

Contemporary Dancer

Chanté Hart began dancing at the age of 3 and later moved to Cape Town to study at the Waterfront Theatre College, before graduating from LAMTA. She has performed in numerous college and professional productions and worked in commercials, TV shows, corporate events, and international gigs, including a stint as a cheerleader in India for the IPL. Currently, Chanté is a sought-after performer for events in and around Cape Town.

Elysian Gold is a talented aerialist who began her training at the age of 11 with The Silk Workshop. Over the years, she has refined her skills to become a top-tier performer, captivating audiences with her graceful and powerful routines.

Jimmy Nevis

Award winning singer – songwriter

Nevis gained fame in 2012 with his hit single “Elephant Shoes” and became a well-known figure in South Africa. He followed up with successful singles and 3 more albums, earning SAMA nominations for Male Artist of the Year and Best Pop Album in 2015 and 2023. Jimmy co-founded the Blue Collar Foundation, a philanthropic initiative focused on inspiring Cape Town’s youth by creating opportunities that encourage them to dream beyond their socio-economic limitations. He is also behind the team creating the documentary about the historical Luxurama Theatre, telling stories about his roots and his community.

Lekia Slaverse

Aerialist

Lekia Slaverse, the youngest performer in her group, is finishing her matric year. Raised in a circus family, Lekia has developed her skills as a multi-talented aerialist with numerous performances already under her belt despite her young age.

Likhona Kweqe

Opera Singer

Likhona Kweqe, a talented reservationist at Century City Hotels and a rising star in the world of opera, hails from East London in the Eastern Cape. Her journey in music began in school choirs and continued throughout university, with her passion for opera igniting in 2016 during a high school solo performance that earned her the Best Operatic Performance award. Likhona has further honed her craft with vocal training at M&M College of Music and Performance in Parklands, refining her skills and deepening her love for opera. She is driven by purpose and passion, striving to connect with audiences through the deep emotions expressed in her voice, inspiring others with the healing power of music.

Logan Marlon

Fashion Designer

Logan Marlon is an experienced fashion designer with a Master’s specialization in Fashion Design and Academia. Currently researching how to integrate business skills development into the fashion curriculum, Logan works as a lecturer assistant in the Extended Curriculum Program at CPUT. His previous work includes assisting Malcholm & Christiaan Kluk as a design room assistant and pattern maker from 2019 to 2021. Logan also produced the debut collection for Presidential, famously known for The Madiba Shirt Brand. Logan’s “They Them” collection was featured in collaboration with Dicker&Dan for Vogue Château Mode, showcased on the Vogue Philippines online platform.

Roxanne Nicole Andrews

Aerialist

Roxanne Nicole Andrews is a multi-talented circus artist specializing in aerial silks. Raised in a circus family, she has been immersed in the art her entire life. Roxanne is currently completing her honors degree in psychology and plans to pursue a master’s degree focusing on Circus Psychology in the future.

Human Statue

Tania Joseph is a talented character performer and stilt walker who discovered her comedic mime and human statue talents later in life. She has since perfected her craft and is recognised for her engaging performances as a mime artist.

The Muses

Electric String Trio

The Muses are a stylish and dynamic electric string trio from Gauteng, South Africa, who transform every performance into a memorable event. Performing on Yamaha Electric Violins, Viola, and Cello, they bring a thrilling twist to classical music with their renditions of Top 40 hits, golden oldies, and African favorites. Known for their high-energy shows, the quartet combines sultry dance moves with vibrant music to entertain and mesmerize diverse audiences, making them perfect for weddings, corporate events, parties, and festivals.

Tracey Lange

Master of Ceremonies

Tracey Lange, a dynamic media personality from Somerset West, has made a name for herself in both radio and television. With over 10 years in commercial radio and 5 years on national TV, Tracey has become a familiar face, hosting the popular show Bravo! on kykNet and co-hosting Dancing with the Stars SA. She also launched Tussen Ons, a talk show with a live audience, and currently hosts #Studio 3, where she showcases local talent and businesses.
